Have you ever felt like someone’s project instead of someone they wanted to know?

In week four of Hands & Feet: The Art of Serving, we explore how Jesus served people with dignity, compassion, and love. Following His example means paying attention to both what we do and how we treat the people we serve.

Through the parable of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16, we are invited to see the person behind the circumstances. Jesus gives the overlooked man a name—a reminder that every person has a story and worth.

This week, take time to reflect:

• Who might I be overlooking?

• Do I avoid people or places Jesus intentionally sought out?

• When did I last slow down to listen to someone’s story?

• How often do I serve someone who cannot repay me?

• Have I unintentionally treated someone as a project?

Ask Jesus to help you notice someone, listen with humility, and make room for genuine connection.
