Your Praise Is Forming Someone Else’s Faith

Nov 23, 2025    Pastor Matt Moore

In Psalm 145, David shows us that praise is not silent, passive, or private. It is expressed, it is heard, and it is seen.

And the truth is this:

“Your praise is forming someone else’s faith.”

Your kids, your family, your friends, the younger believers in your life — they are watching how you worship, how you pray, how you show your devotion to God.

Whether you are loud and expressive or quiet and reflective, praise invites us to stretch one step beyond what’s comfortable, because faith is meant to be passed on.

• Praise is something you do, not just something you feel

• One generation commends God’s works to the next (Psalm 145:4)

• Your worship is shaping the spiritual formation of others

• Praise may feel awkward—but it’s powerful

• Every person, parent or not, influences the next generation of believers

• Stretching in praise is an act of discipleship

• God uses your visible faith to plant seeds in others
